TotalAV Mobile, examined as a product
This is the one product this site has a paid arrangement with, and the entry is deliberately narrow because of it: we link to it, we describe what the vendor itself publishes, and where the vendor is silent this page says so rather than filling the gap. The affiliate disclosure sets out the arrangement in full.
What the product is
TotalAV Mobile is a consumer security subscription sold for phones and tablets on Android and iOS, with a desktop companion for Windows and macOS. The mobile subscription bundles the four separate jobs described on the how it works page: malware scanning, web and link filtering, a VPN, and credential monitoring — plus the privacy controls (app lock, camera and microphone access monitoring) described on features explained.
What to check yourself before you pay
- Which platforms the current plan covers. A licence that covers a phone does not mean the phone gets the desktop product, and platform coverage changes with the subscription shape. Check the vendor's current plan page.
- How a tablet is counted. Some plans count a tablet as a full device, some do not. Count your physical devices first — device coverage.
- The first-term price and the renewal price. The advertised figure is usually the introductory first term; the renewal is the real price. See pricing, renewal and your rights.
- What the vendor does not publish. This site runs no laboratory and publishes no detection scores. Where a number matters, the vendor's own material is the reference — and where it is silent, this page says so.

The honest shape of this page: the commercial arrangement is the reason TotalAV Mobile is the product written about in depth here. It is a limitation to factor into your decision, not a recommendation. You can apply the same counting and filtering method to any other product on the device coverage page.
